When the incandescent lamp is installed, it shows yellow light, and when the energy-saving lamp is installed, it has yellow and white light. If the number is large, it is recommended to use energy-saving lamps, the wattage is controlled at 3-9 watts. And the illumination of the downlights is fixed, while the spotlights are mainly energy-saving lamps and LED lamps, and the direction of its light source can be changed. In terms of decorative effects, spotlights are more flexible.

3. Light effect

Downlights are mainly energy-saving lamps, with white and yellow lights. They are diffuse light sources, non-focusing, low temperature, and partial auxiliary type, so they are mainly used for lighting. The spotlights are mainly built-in and exposed, with high light source intensity, which is more suitable for decorative use.

4. Look at the application location

Downlights are generally installed in the ceiling, and generally the ceiling needs to be above 150mm before it can be installed. Of course, the downlight also has an external type. It is a good choice to install downlights in areas without ceiling lights or pendant lights, and the light should be softer than spotlights. Spotlights can generally be divided into track type, point hanging type and built-in type. Spotlights generally have transformers, but some do not. Built-in spotlights can be installed in the ceiling. Spotlights are mainly used in places that need to be emphasized or expressed, such as TV walls, paintings, ornaments, etc., and can be used to enhance the effect.

5. Look at the price

For the same grade, spotlights are more expensive. Generally speaking, domestic downlight spotlight brands with better quality include Op, Sanli, NVC, Sanxiong Aurora. Among them, NVC and Sanli have the best price/performance ratio. Downlights generally have three types: large (5 inches), medium (4 inches) and small (2.5 inches). The current market price of trumpet is between 20-15 yuan, medium is between 28-32 yuan, and large is between 36-48 yuan. Of course, the above prices do not include the light source. There are two types of downlights: horizontal plug and vertical plug. The price of horizontal plug is a little more expensive than that of vertical plug.
